Assistant Technician – Airfield Civil Works Painter

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Technician specialised in Airfield Civil Works Painting to join our team at Dubai Airports. The role involves carrying out preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance of painting and marking works on airport infrastructure, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and work from civil works schematic and layout drawings.
• Conduct inspections to assess painting needs and prepare surfaces by cleaning, repairing holes and removing old coatings.
• Mix, match and apply paints and finishes to runways, taxiways, pavement, walls and other airport assets.
• Provide decorative and faux finishes for runway, pavement and road markings.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance and breakdown repairs safely using hand and power tools.
• Adhere to all health, safety and regulatory requirements at all times.
• Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor or duty engineer.

Required profile

• Industrial Training Institute Certificate or Diploma (2‑year) in painting and decorating or equivalent.
• IOSH Working Safely Certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum three years’ experience in facility management, civil works or a similar environment; airport experience is a plus.
• Current valid UAE driving licence (desirable).
