Assistant Welcome Desk Manager

About the role

The Assistant Welcome Desk Manager supports the front‑desk team at W Hotels in Dubai, ensuring smooth guest check‑ins and delivering high‑quality service. This full‑time position involves handling payments, managing reservations, and acting as a point of contact for guest requests.

Key responsibilities

• Process guest check‑ins, verify identity, assign rooms, and issue keys while securing payment.
• Enter Marriott Rewards information and ensure rates match market codes.
• Compile and review daily reports, cashier and closing reports, and manage receipts.
• Handle all payment types, vouchers, paid‑outs, and balance the bank at shift start and end.
• Assist guests with directions, property information, and special requests, coordinating with other staff as needed.
• Notify Loss Prevention/Security of any theft reports and follow accounting procedures.
• Support management in training, evaluating, and coaching employees, promoting a fair‑treatment policy.
• Maintain personal appearance, confidentiality, and compliance with safety and company policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 10 lb and use computer/POS systems.
