Assistant/Associate Professor in Educational Technology

About the role

Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) in Dubai seeks a full‑time Assistant or Associate Professor to join its School of e‑Education. The successful candidate will deliver graduate‑level courses, develop innovative e‑learning content, mentor students, and contribute to the university’s research and accreditation activities.

Key responsibilities

• Teach graduate courses using advanced online learning platforms and innovative instructional technologies.
• Design and develop e‑content and curriculum materials specific to Educational Technology.
• Mentor and advise students throughout their academic programmes.
• Create and deliver professional short courses and workshops for targeted professional communities.
• Publish research in peer‑reviewed journals and pursue external funding for educational‑technology projects.
• Support academic programmes and accreditation processes as required.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Educational Technology from an accredited university where English is the medium of instruction.
• Demonstrated successful teaching experience at the graduate level in an accredited university.
• Minimum five years of academic experience for Associate Professor candidates.
• Strong research record with high‑quality publications and evidence of impact.
• Ability to integrate industry insights into curriculum and instruction.

Required skills

• Experience with online/e‑learning environments and platforms.
