Associate Analyst – Air Traffic Operations

About the role

The Associate Analyst supports air traffic operations for the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority. The role involves handling flight‑data tasks, monitoring communication systems, reporting incidents and assisting in the training of trainee air traffic controllers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform flight‑data tasks using PRISMA, including individual and repetitive flight plans, estimates and revisions.
• Prepare, transmit and re‑route incoming message traffic to the appropriate addresses.
• Monitor CADAS, ROBEX and take necessary corrective actions.
• Manage and operate PRISMA AWPCOM and observe traffic through the system, addressing faults as they arise.
• Act as DFLOW manager when required to allocate departure slots generated by the system.
• Monitor the Online Data Interchange window and coordinate with adjacent ANSP units.
• Report incidents, failures and safety‑related conditions to ATCOs.
• Participate in simulation exercises, procedure development, airspace restructuring and testing of new or upgraded ATC systems.
• Provide on‑the‑job training (OJT) for trainee ATC assistants and prepare progress reports.

Required skills

• PRISMA, CADAS, ROBEX, PRISMA AWPCOM, DFLOW, Online Data Interchange.
• Knowledge of ICAO Documents, UAE AIP and Local ATS Instructions (LATSI).
• Familiarity with ATC systems used in the UAE FIR.
