Associate Analyst – Model Risk Management (UAE Nationals)

About the role

The Associate Analyst will join ADIB's Model Risk Management and AI Risk team in Abu Dhabi. This entry‑level position is open to fresh UAE nationals and provides structured training to develop a solid foundation in model lifecycle risk and responsible AI use within banking.

Key responsibilities

• Provide proactive administrative, analytical and coordination support to the Model Risk Management and AI Risk team.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of models and AI use‑cases, capturing ownership, purpose, risk tier, validation and monitoring details.
• Assist in model identification, risk classification, initial screening and lifecycle governance using approved templates.
• Support independent model and AI reviews by gathering documentation, checking data completeness and reproducing basic analyses.
• Conduct basic quantitative testing with Excel and, as skills develop, Python, R or SAS for data quality, performance, stability, sensitivity, fairness and monitoring analyses.
• Review AI use‑cases for responsible AI considerations such as fairness, transparency, explainability, human oversight and security.
• Prepare committee packs, dashboards, risk‑appetite reports, regulatory assessments and other management information.
• Track validation plans, monitoring submissions, model or AI changes, findings and remediation actions, following up with stakeholders on timelines.
• Maintain clear working papers, evidence, version control and audit trails in line with policies.

Required profile

• Fresh graduate or early‑career professional, UAE national.
• Strong curiosity, attention to detail and quantitative aptitude.
• High integrity and ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical colleagues.
• Willingness to learn under supervision and follow structured training.
