Associate (Arabic Speaking) International Arbitration

About the role

Laborde Law is seeking an Arabic‑speaking associate to join its International Arbitration practice in Dubai. The role offers immediate responsibility, working directly with senior partners on high‑value, cross‑border disputes involving investors, states, and commercial parties.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and review pleadings, submissions, witness statements and legal memoranda for arbitration proceedings.
• Conduct in‑depth legal research on procedural and substantive issues under ICC, UNCITRAL and other arbitral rules.
• Analyse Arabic‑language contracts, legislation and evidentiary material.
• Assist in case strategy, document production and evidentiary matters.
• Participate in client meetings, calls and stakeholder communications in Arabic.
• Develop thought‑leadership content such as articles, client alerts and presentations.
• Identify prospective arbitration clients and prepare tailored pitches.
• Represent the firm at conferences, panels and professional events.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of post‑qualification experience in international arbitration at a leading law firm.
• Admission to practice in a recognised jurisdiction.
• Native or near‑native proficiency in Arabic and professional fluency in English.
• Strong analytical and legal research abilities.
