Associate Director - Civil Infrastructure Design

About the role

The Associate Director will lead the design of civil infrastructure for medium to large scale development projects across the Middle East. This senior position oversees multidisciplinary teams, coordinates with stakeholders and authorities, and ensures timely delivery of comprehensive design packages.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage infrastructure design from master planning through IFC stage.
• Coordinate with master planners, architects, engineers and other consultants to deliver integrated solutions.
• Review, monitor and manage design deliverables for roads, utilities (water, wastewater, power, ICT), structures, marine and public realm infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations such as MOMRAH, NWC, SEC, SWCC and Royal Commissions.
• Manage design schedules, risks, and interface coordination with clients, contractors and sub‑consultants.
• Participate in design reviews and value‑engineering workshops.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior staff and discipline engineers.
• Support permitting, approvals and coordination with local authorities.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading civil infrastructure design teams on medium to large projects.
• Strong knowledge of local authority regulations and international standards.
• Ability to manage design schedules, risks and stakeholder interfaces.
• Experience delivering design packages for roads, utilities, bridges, marine works and public realm.
• Effective technical leadership and mentorship skills.
