Associate Director - Transport Planning & Mobility

About the role

WSP Middle East is looking for an Associate Director to lead transport planning and mobility projects across the UAE and the wider Middle East. The role combines technical leadership, project delivery and client advisory to shape integrated, future‑ready transportation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of transport planning and mobility assignments, including master plans, impact studies, traffic assessments and mobility strategies.
• Provide technical oversight, review and approve reports, models and client deliverables ensuring compliance with local regulations and WSP standards.
• Integrate transport inputs into multidisciplinary projects such as major infrastructure, urban developments, new cities, aviation and tourism schemes.
• Manage project budgets, programme schedules, resources and commercial performance, acting as Project Manager or Discipline Lead when required.
• Serve as trusted advisor to clients, government authorities and developers, leading workshops, presentations and stakeholder engagement.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in transport planning, mobility and multidisciplinary infrastructure projects within the Middle East.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and mentor junior professionals.
• Strong client‑facing skills with a track record of delivering high‑profile assignments.
• Excellent understanding of local authority requirements and international best practices.
