Associate Electrical Engineer

About the role

The Associate Electrical Engineer will support the design and analysis of electrical systems for oil and gas projects. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you will apply basic engineering principles to deliver routine design tasks and ensure compliance with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Follow company procedures, work instructions, and standards, seeking guidance when needed.
• Perform detailed design engineering, analysis, and calculations for basic tasks.
• Prepare clear design calculations, reports, and procedures.
• Generate power distribution system calculations, consumer lists, and equipment sizing.
• Create electrical one‑line diagrams and populate items in the SPEL database.
• Produce sketches and design sketches to guide designers.
• Requisition simple bulk materials and check drawings.
• Keep the Lead Engineer informed of progress and issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
• 0‑3 years of experience in oil and gas or related sector.
• Willingness to learn standards, codes, and design techniques.
• Preferably a Registered Engineer in Training (EIT) or member of a professional engineering society.
