Associate – Insolvency & Dispute Resolution (Dubai)

About the role

Walkers, a leading international law firm, is seeking a technically strong lawyer to join its Insolvency & Dispute Resolution (IDR) team in Dubai. The associate will work on high‑profile, multi‑jurisdictional matters for banks, corporates, and high‑net‑worth clients.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on contentious and non‑contentious financial services matters, including trusts, funds and commercial disputes.
• Handle insolvency mandates, restructuring advice, liquidations, receiverships and schemes of arrangement.
• Assist with debt recovery, enforcement actions and asset recovery.
• Provide guidance to directors, shareholders and limited partners on corporate recovery and insolvency obligations.
• Collaborate with insolvency practitioners, banks and other financial institutions on complex cross‑border cases.

Required profile

• Commonwealth‑qualified lawyer with at least five years of relevant experience.
• Proven track record in insolvency, restructuring and commercial litigation.
• Strong analytical and time‑keeping skills, with ability to manage billing systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a multicultural team.
