Associate Manager - Finance

About the role

The Associate Manager – Finance will ensure robust financial governance across Majid Al Futtaim’s store and warehouse operations in the UAE. You will monitor key operational and financial processes, supporting the business in achieving accurate inventory, cost control, and budget compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor waste, shrinkage, and stock movement across stores and warehouses.
• Facilitate stock audits, reconcile inventory discrepancies, and ensure accurate item costing and margins.
• Oversee pending GRNs, invoicing processes, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.
• Support initiatives to reduce stock losses and improve inventory controls.
• Manage fixed‑asset processes, including capitalization, tracking, and write‑offs.
• Oversee cash handling, tender reconciliations, petty‑cash utilization, and conduct cash spot checks.
• Monitor operating expenses and assist with budget control for stores and warehouses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in finance, audit, financial controlling, or store‑operations finance within retail, FMCG, hypermarkets, supermarkets or consumer‑goods sectors.
• Strong background in inventory accounting, stock reconciliation, shrinkage control and operational finance.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
