Associate Privacy Officer (National Talent)

About the role

The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism is seeking a motivated Associate Privacy professional to support its Senior Privacy Officer. This entry‑level position offers the chance to work on real data‑privacy projects within a government environment, helping to ensure compliance with UAE and international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing contracts and projects to identify privacy risks.
• Support the design and delivery of data‑privacy training and awareness programmes.
• Help draft and update policies, procedures, and guidance documents.
• Participate in Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and maintain records of processing activities.
• Provide day‑to‑day advice to staff and Data Protection Champions on privacy matters.
• Monitor compliance with privacy governance frameworks and assist with personal data mapping exercises.

Required profile

• University or college degree in a related field (LLB or JD equivalent preferred).
• Recent graduate or candidate with less than 3 years of experience, preferably with law‑related internships.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently under guidance.
