Associate Quality Assurance

About the role

The Associate Quality Assurance ensures the quality, freshness, safety and regulatory compliance of fresh products—including fruits, vegetables and meat—across stores, distribution centres and supplier sites for Talabat, part of the Delivery Hero Group in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of fresh produce and meat at stores, warehouses and supplier locations.
• Verify product compliance with company specifications, HACCP, GMP and local food‑safety regulations.
• Assess freshness, appearance, texture, packaging condition, temperature and shelf‑life.
• Perform sampling, record findings and use standard checklists for documentation.
• Identify defects, contamination risks or non‑conformities and report them promptly.
• Coordinate corrective and preventive actions with operations, suppliers and store teams.
• Support product rejection, escalation processes and investigations of customer complaints.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, reports and quality documentation.
• Assist in supplier performance evaluations and continuous quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Food Science, Agriculture, Food Technology, Quality Assurance or a related field.
• Experience in quality assurance, fresh‑produce handling, meat inspection or food‑retail operations is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of fresh‑produce quality parameters, meat handling practices and food‑safety standards.
• Attention to detail, analytical mindset and ability to work in a fast‑paced operational environment.
