About the role

The American Hospital Dubai is seeking a qualified Audiologist to join its multidisciplinary team. The role involves comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of hearing and balance disorders for a diverse patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Define patient hearing impairment and balance disorders through collaboration with referring physicians.
• Select and administer electrophysiological and other relevant tests, operating diagnostic equipment.
• Interpret audiometric data, prepare written diagnostic reports, and determine type and degree of hearing loss.
• Evaluate, fit, and verify amplification devices, including assistive listening systems.
• Participate in implant teams (cochlear, middle‑ear, bone‑anchored, fully implantable) and assess audiologic candidacy.
• Provide pre‑ and post‑surgical counseling, auditory training, rehabilitation, and implant programming.
• Monitor intra‑operative neurophysiologic signals and conduct electrophysiologic measurements (evoked potentials, nerve conduction velocity, EMG).
• Maintain accurate patient records, inventory supplies, and ensure compliance with legal and accreditation standards.
• Contribute to quality improvement, research programs, and stay updated on new techniques and equipment.
