Audit Manager – Assurance Services (UAE)

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a Manager in Audit & Assurance to join its Abu Dhabi team. You will lead audit engagements, build trust with stakeholders, and ensure high‑quality audit delivery while supporting the firm’s purpose of making an impact that matters.

Key responsibilities

• Review transaction flows and control testing early in the audit cycle to shape the audit approach.
• Suggest mitigating testing when controls are ineffective, reducing the need for senior escalation.
• Apply professional scepticism to assess fraud risk and governance communication.
• Identify value‑adding opportunities and integrate specialist expertise across the firm.
• Participate in group risk assessment and coordinate work with component auditors.
• Prepare and review referral instructions and evaluate component auditor responses.
• Conduct regular file checks throughout the audit to ensure completeness and quality.

• Demonstrated ability to balance multiple stakeholder needs while providing constructive challenge.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on control environment assessment.
• Experience in managing audit teams and coordinating with component auditors.
