AV Technician

About the role

The AV Technician will ensure that all audio‑visual equipment at Avani Palm View Dubai Hotel & Suites operates flawlessly for meetings, conferences, banquets, weddings and other events. You will be the technical backbone that delivers a seamless guest experience while upholding the hotel’s quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and dismantle AV equipment for a variety of events.
• Install, inspect, maintain and troubleshoot projectors, LED screens, televisions, sound systems, microphones, video‑conferencing gear and control systems.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to guarantee reliable performance.
• Respond promptly to AV‑related service requests from guests and internal departments.
• Test all equipment before events and monitor systems during events, providing technical support as needed.
• Coordinate with Banquets, Events, Sales, IT and other teams to meet event requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory, service records and equipment history.
• Support energy‑conservation initiatives and recommend equipment improvements.
• Assist the Engineering team with general maintenance duties when required.

Required profile

• Previous experience supporting AV equipment in a hospitality or events environment.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Good coordination skills with multiple hotel departments.
