AV Technician

About the role

The Meydan Hotel, located at the iconic Meydan Racecourse, is looking for an experienced AV Technician to support its events, conferences and daily operations. You will ensure that all audio‑visual equipment functions flawlessly, delivering a premium guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate projectors, sound systems, video‑conferencing gear, LCD/plasma screens, cameras and lighting according to Banquet Event Orders.
• Test equipment before rehearsals and events, and operate it during live sessions.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair AV hardware, including wiring and signal routing.
• Manage the equipment booking and tracking system.
• Train banquet staff on proper equipment use.
• Inspect venue AV assets, recommend upgrades and keep accurate maintenance records.
• Assist guests and provide on‑site technical support during events.

Required profile

• Audio‑Visual Technical Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on AV experience, preferably in a hotel environment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to safety and quality standards.

Required skills

• Operation of projectors and large‑format screens.
• Sound system setup and calibration.
• Video‑conferencing equipment handling.
• Camera operation and image‑editing software.
• Lighting system configuration.
• AV system wiring, signal routing and troubleshooting.
• Preventive maintenance of AV hardware.
