AVP & Audit Manager – Investment Banking, Wholesale Banking & Credit

About the role

The Assistant Vice President (AVP) Audit Manager will lead and participate in audits covering Investment Banking, Wholesale Banking and Credit activities across the FAB Group. The role provides assurance to senior management by identifying weaknesses, reporting findings and driving corrective actions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and report audits of IB, WB (including Global Transaction Banking and Corporate Finance) and Credit functions in the UAE and international network.
• Ensure audits are completed on schedule, in line with the Annual Audit Plan and GIA policies.
• Communicate audit findings to senior management, recommend remediation and monitor implementation of action plans.
• Provide day‑to‑day liaison with IB, WB and Credit departments, influencing change through advisory support.
• Guide and train junior audit staff, fostering knowledge sharing and adherence to standards.
• Monitor financial performance of audited areas against budgets and report variances.
• Contribute to the development of audit practices and support special investigations as required.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of corporate banking products, credit risk management and the regulatory environment in the UAE and other relevant jurisdictions.
• Experience in transaction banking and credit risk management is an advantage.
• Proven ability to interact effectively with senior management and influence outcomes.
• Excellent analytical and report‑writing skills.
