AVP & Lead Credit Management – Real Estate & Hospitality

About the role

The Assistant Vice President (AVP) and Lead Credit Management role supports the preparation, assessment, structuring and ongoing management of real‑estate and hospitality credit exposures across the UAE and selected international markets. Reporting to senior credit colleagues, the role combines end‑to‑end credit analysis with client interaction to ensure financing solutions align with the bank’s risk appetite and regulatory framework.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed credit analysis and risk assessment for real‑estate and hospitality financing, including development, construction and hotel assets.
• Prepare credit applications, financial models and approval recommendations for term loans, revolving facilities and guarantees.
• Assist in managing a sector‑specific credit portfolio, conducting annual and interim reviews, monitoring covenant compliance and tracking key risk indicators.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers, product and risk teams to support client discussions and structuring of facilities.
• Respond to audit, regulatory and internal review queries related to assigned transactions.
• Ensure all credit work complies with Group Credit Policies, sector underwriting standards and delegated approval limits.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of UAE and regional real‑estate and hospitality market trends and regulatory developments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field (mandatory).
• Professional qualification such as CA, CFA, CPA or CAIA is preferred.
• Minimum six years of banking experience, with at least three years in credit analysis or risk roles, preferably within real‑estate or hospitality financing.
• Ability to work within established credit frameworks while exercising independent judgment.
