AVP & Lead Credit Management – Wealth Banking

About the role

The Assistant Vice President and Lead Credit Management role is responsible for owning the credit process from underwriting through approval for a portfolio of high‑net‑worth clients within the Wealth Banking division. The position ensures that all credit proposals comply with the Group Credit Policy while balancing client needs with the bank’s risk appetite.

Key responsibilities

• Take full credit ownership for assigned high‑net‑worth and ultra‑high‑net‑worth client portfolios.
• Structure, negotiate and obtain approvals for loan facilities across leveraged investments, Lombard, commercial/residential real estate and insurance financing.
• Collaborate with coverage, product and legal teams to design solutions that meet both client objectives and bank requirements.
• Monitor collateral valuation, documentation compliance and ongoing credit risk throughout the life of the facility.
• Provide expert guidance on capital market products, derivatives and margin requirements to internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum); Chartered Accountant, MBA or professional certifications such as CFA/FRM are desirable.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in credit management, preferably within wealth or private banking.
• Strong analytical ability with deep knowledge of financial statements, industry dynamics and market trends.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a demanding environment while maintaining high credit standards.
