AVP & Manager, PBO Trade Finance Operations

About the role

The AVP & Manager, PBO Trade Finance Operations is responsible for supervising and authorizing trade finance transactions, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory standards while delivering high‑quality service to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and supervise a team to process trade finance products, especially letters of credit, ensuring efficiency and adherence to policies.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets, prepare reports, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, sanctions, AML and central bank requirements, and maintain zero operational loss.
• Support risk management activities, including BIA, RCSA, and audit preparations.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Commerce, Finance or related field, with CDCS or equivalent certification preferred.
• 8‑10 years of trade finance experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong customer service orientation, proactive attitude and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Trade finance operations, including LC processing and document checking.
• Knowledge of ICC Publications, ICC Banking Commission opinions and related trade regulations.
• Experience with compliance, AML and sanctions monitoring.
