AVP Security Incident Management (UAE National)

About the role

The Assistant Vice President, Security Incident Management will lead the incident response team within Mashreq's Cyber Defense Center. You will ensure timely detection, analysis, containment, and recovery of security incidents while continuously improving the bank's incident management capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the incident response process across technical and business stakeholders.
• Conduct investigation, root‑cause analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery activities.
• Produce clear communication, reporting, and post‑incident lessons learned.
• Drive maturity of incident response through automation, innovation, and KPI reporting.
• Align incident management with business priorities, compliance requirements, and risk frameworks.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in information security, with at least 6‑8 years dedicated to security incident response.
• Proven leadership of incident response teams in a banking or financial services environment.
• Hands‑on experience implementing and operating SIEM/SOAR platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel and ArcSight.
• Track record of defining, measuring, and reporting incident‑response KPIs.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities under pressure.
