B2 Aircraft Technician Base Maintenance

About the role

The B2 Technician is responsible for performing aircraft maintenance activities, rectifying defects, and supporting Licensed Aircraft Engineers to ensure the safety of flight operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance to the highest technical standards, staying updated on Technical and Quality Notices.
• Prepare all materials, tooling, equipment and documentation in advance to support on‑time performance.
• Maintain a FOD‑free work area and clean the bay before and after work.
• Record daily maintenance activities accurately and obtain required sign‑offs.
• Comply fully with organizational Health and Safety rules and procedures.
• Promote an open reporting culture aligned with company ethos.
• Return unused serviceable and unserviceable items to stores with correct labeling.
• Clean and return tooling or equipment in serviceable condition, labeling any defects.
• Continue personal development and expand aircraft knowledge for career growth.

Required profile

• High School leaving certificate or diploma.
• Completed an apprenticeship with an airline or approved organization.
• Minimum 3 years of base maintenance experience, including hands‑on work in Avionics/IFE.
