Backend Developer – Middleware & Data Services

About the role

InfoLabs Global is looking for a Backend Developer to build the middleware that connects building systems with a 3D digital twin. You will design and implement APIs, services, and business logic that keep data synchronized, auditable, and ready for real‑time visualization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop backend services and REST/WebSocket APIs consumed by Unreal Engine clients and dashboards.
• Implement business logic for alarms, workflows, work orders, user roles, and audit trails.
• Design and maintain relational (PostgreSQL/SQL Server) and time‑series (InfluxDB/TimescaleDB) database schemas.
• Build message‑driven pipelines using MQTT, Kafka, or RabbitMQ for high‑frequency telemetry.
• Implement authentication, authorisation, and API security mechanisms.
• Write automated tests, participate in code reviews, and support deployment and troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of backend development experience.
• Current residence in the UAE with a valid residence visa.
• Ability to join on short notice and work on‑site in Dubai.
