Backend Engineer (Node.js & AWS)

About the role

Deel is looking for a Backend Engineer to help power its global payroll and HR platform. You will work on high‑impact services that support millions of workers across more than 150 countries.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Participate in product planning from discovery through deployment, influencing the full software development lifecycle.
• Design, build, and enhance robust backend features and APIs that scale with global demand.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs quickly to maintain Deel’s high‑velocity development pace.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing backend services using Node.js.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services and cloud‑native architectures.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
