Bakery Commis 2 – Ajman Saray Resort

About the role

The Luxury Collection is looking for a Commis 2 to join the bakery team at Ajman Saray, a Luxury Collection Resort. In this full‑time role you will prepare and bake a variety of items while maintaining the highest standards of quality, presentation, and food safety.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook bakery products according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
• Portion, chop, store and organise ingredients for efficient production.
• Operate baking and measuring equipment safely and correctly.
• Follow and enforce food safety, hygiene and personal‑cleanliness procedures.
• Monitor and record temperatures of appliances and food, reporting any issues.
• Wash, disinfect and maintain a clean kitchen environment; set up and break down work stations.
• Check food quality and portion sizes throughout the shift.
• Adhere to all company policies, including safety, security and uniform standards.
• Communicate professionally with team members and guests.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb, standing for long periods and moving on varied surfaces.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• Less than one year of related bakery or food‑preparation experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced kitchen and follow detailed instructions.
• Physical capability to lift, stand, bend and move safely.

• Proficiency with bakery equipment and measuring tools.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to follow recipes, portion control and quality guidelines.
