Bakery Commis (Level 1)

About the role

The Bakery Commis (Level 1) supports the culinary team at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts in Dubai, preparing a wide range of bakery items and special meals while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, cold foods and bakery items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters; pull frozen items for thawing.
• Ensure proper portioning, arrangement and garnish of all dishes.
• Maintain accurate food logs and monitor food quality and quantity.
• Communicate needs during busy periods and inform chefs of excess or out‑of‑stock items.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling and employee coaching.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies; report incidents and maintenance needs.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years (36 months) of experience in a bakery or culinary environment.
• Technical, trade or vocational school qualification preferred.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site in a fast‑paced hotel kitchen.
