Banquet Kitchen Commis (Level 3)

About the role

The Banquet Kitchen at Palazzo Versace Dubai is seeking a motivated Commis (Level 3) to support daily food preparation for high‑volume events. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in a luxury hospitality environment, working closely with senior chefs and the culinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Banquet Kitchen team with daily food preparation and mise en place.
• Prepare ingredients according to recipes, production requirements and chef instructions.
• Cook and assemble hot and cold banquet items for conferences, weddings and other functions.
• Maintain quality, portion and presentation standards for all dishes.
• Ensure a clean, organized and hygienic workstation throughout the shift.
• Store, label and handle ingredients in line with food safety and HACCP guidelines.
• Support the Chef de Partie and senior culinary staff during peak production periods.

Required profile

• Previous kitchen experience is preferred; fresh culinary graduates are welcome.
• Culinary qualification or relevant professional training is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations and HACCP.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and strong teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume banquet environment.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and extended hours during events.
