Barge/Vessel Client Representative

About the role

Bureau Veritas India is seeking an experienced Barge/Vessel Client Representative to act as the focal point for offshore installation campaigns in Abu Dhabi. The role involves direct communication with ADNOC Offshore, clients, contractors and internal teams to ensure safe, compliant execution of marine and construction activities.

Key responsibilities

• Establish direct contact with the client and relevant Bureau Veritas stakeholders.
• Represent the project management team for all contractual matters during offshore installation campaigns.
• Serve as the primary site communication link with contractors, third‑party agents and operations field personnel.
• Liaise closely with the ADNOC Offshore Marine Representative on all marine‑related activities.
• Oversee marine safety, barge movements, anchor handling and compliance with marine safety regulations.
• Coordinate installation of jackets, decks, bridges, subsea cables, pipelines/risers, hook‑up/tie‑ins and pre‑commissioning/commissioning tasks.
• Ensure adherence to QA/QC, welding and coating standards throughout the project.
• Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks and safety drills.

Required profile

• B.Sc. (Honours) degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 15 years of total offshore oil & gas experience.
• At least 10 years of experience with installation of jackets, decks, bridges, subsea cables, pipelines/risers, hook‑up/tie‑ins and commissioning.
• Extensive knowledge of offshore construction practices, marine safety regulations, QA/QC, welding and coating, and survey/navigation positioning systems.
• Familiarity with ADNOC HSE standards and site safety induction procedures.
• UAE driving licence not required.
