BIM Design Engineering Lead

About the role

We are looking for a BIM Design Engineering Lead to drive BIM and digital engineering strategies across our projects in Abu Dhabi. The role will oversee the full BIM lifecycle, ensuring high‑quality models, coordination and compliance with standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement BIM and digital engineering strategies, standards, procedures and workflows for assigned projects.
• Lead BIM implementation from design development through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Create, review and manage BIM Execution Plans (BEP), Employer’s Information Requirements (EIR) and related documentation.
• Establish and maintain BIM standards, modelling protocols, naming conventions and data requirements.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models, conduct clash detection, constructability reviews and resolve design coordination issues.
• Review BIM models and digital deliverables from consultants and contractors for quality and compliance.
• Integrate BIM with project delivery teams and manage BIM activities within the Common Data Environment (CDE).
• Support digital engineering technologies such as 3D modelling, 4D scheduling, 5D cost integration and digital twins.
• Monitor BIM performance against KPIs and identify improvement opportunities.
• Provide technical guidance, conduct coordination meetings, workshops and presentations.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading BIM implementation on large‑scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of BIM standards (ISO 19650) and information management processes.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to mentor and lead BIM and digital engineering team members.
