Branding Design Director – Freelance

About the role

We are seeking a Freelance Branding Design Director to lead the creation of strategic, world‑class brand identities and visual campaigns. The role demands a visionary who can translate business objectives into compelling visual systems while pushing creative boundaries.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and oversee distinctive brand worlds that are strategically grounded and visually exceptional.
• Lead the design and execution of large‑scale campaigns across multiple touchpoints, ensuring consistency and high craft standards.
• Mentor and guide junior designers, setting creative direction and maintaining quality throughout project stages.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align visual concepts with overall business and marketing strategies.
• Utilise advanced AI tools such as Midjourney and Krea to generate cinematic, ownable imagery for brands.

Required profile

• Highly strategic thinker with extensive experience in branding and visual identity.
• Proven ability to create high‑level brand systems that support business goals.
• Deep understanding of design trends across advertising, fashion, architecture, and culture.
• Strong art‑direction sensibility with an eye for photography, composition, colour, typography and storytelling.
• Experience leading and mentoring design teams in a fast‑paced environment.
