Bridge Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Bridge Design Engineer to join Jacobs’ transportation team in Dubai. The successful candidate will support the delivery of high‑profile bridge projects across the Middle East, ranging from long‑span crossings to architecturally driven schemes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver bridge designs on time, within budget and to client quality standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop technical solutions.
• Produce sound design outputs that meet client requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical input and manage specific elements of project delivery.

Required profile

• Recognised degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in bridge design.
• Progressing toward membership of a professional engineering institution.

Required skills

• Proficiency with structural modelling software such as MIDAS and RM.
• Experience using BIM tools for bridge projects.
• Strong knowledge of Eurocodes, DMRB and AASHTO specifications.
• Familiarity with international bridge codes and GCC authority requirements.
