Building Management Systems Engineer

About the role

The Building Management Systems (BMS) Engineer will ensure the reliable operation of the building’s automation platform. Working closely with the facilities management team, you will monitor, maintain and optimise HVAC, lighting, electrical and other connected services to deliver comfort and energy efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the BMS dashboard, alarms and performance trends, taking corrective action when required.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on controllers, sensors, actuators and communication networks.
• Troubleshoot faults, coordinate with specialist contractors and oversee major repairs.
• Collaborate with HVAC, electrical and mechanical teams to support seamless facility operations.
• Analyse system data to identify energy‑saving opportunities and optimise control settings.
• Ensure all work complies with HSE policies, regulatory standards and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate logs, maintenance records and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with building automation or BMS platforms.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and communication issues.
• Familiarity with facilities‑management processes and emergency response protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
