About the role
RAKBANK is seeking a driven Business Development Manager to expand its commercial insurance portfolio for SME and corporate clients across the UAE. You will work closely with Business Banking, Employee Banking and Protego teams to deliver tailored insurance solutions and grow market presence.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and acquire new SME and corporate clients across diverse UAE sectors.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through networking, referrals, research and direct outreach.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend suitable products such as Group Medical, Workmen Compensation, Motor Fleet, Property and Liability insurance.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotations and renewal terms to prospects and existing clients.
- Achieve assigned revenue targets and monitor conversion ratios.
- Coordinate with finance and operations for premium collection and processing.
- Manage assigned accounts, oversee renewals, endorsements and coverage reviews.
- Ensure compliance with CBUAE regulations, KYC and AML requirements.
- Provide advisory support based on current market trends and regulatory changes.
- Support clients during claims by liaising with underwriters, insurers and internal departments.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial insurance sales or business development.
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and underwriting fundamentals.
- Proven track record of meeting sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
- High integrity, professionalism and a client‑centric mindset.
Required skills
- Proficiency in CRM tools.
- Advanced use of MS Office Suite.
