Business Development Manager – Construction

About the role

Mobco Group is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth in the UAE construction and contracting market. The role focuses on generating project leads, building relationships, and securing new business across Dubai and the wider region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to capture new construction opportunities.
• Identify, qualify, and secure project leads, tenders, and contracts throughout the UAE, especially in Dubai.
• Maintain strong relationships with developers, consultants, main contractors, government entities, and key decision‑makers.
• Build and manage an active pipeline of potential projects and clients.
• Monitor market trends, upcoming developments, and major tender opportunities.
• Lead the end‑to‑end business development process from lead generation to negotiation and award.
• Collaborate with Estimation, Commercial, Technical, and Operations teams to prepare competitive proposals.
• Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and networking forums.
• Prepare regular reports on activities, pipeline status, and forecasted opportunities.
• Support senior management in market‑entry strategies and sector diversification.

Required profile

• 15+ years of business development experience in construction or contracting, preferably in the UAE.
• Civil Engineering background strongly preferred.
• Proven track record of generating leads and converting them into awarded projects.
• Deep knowledge of the Dubai/UAE construction market and its key players.
• Extensive network with developers, consultants, contractors, and clients.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, tendering, procurement, and project development processes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and networking abilities.
