Business Development Manager

About the role

Blue Ocean Management Training is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new revenue streams across corporate, government, and educational sectors. You will promote and sell a portfolio of corporate training programs, professional certifications, and customized learning solutions while building lasting relationships with key decision‑makers.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities with corporate clients, government bodies, educational institutions, and strategic partners.
• Promote and sell corporate training programs, certification courses, and tailored learning solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with HR, L&D, procurement, and other decision‑makers.
• Conduct client meetings to assess needs and propose appropriate training solutions.
• Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and commercial offers.
• Negotiate terms and close deals to meet revenue targets.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and ensure timely follow‑up.
• Coordinate with Training Operations for seamless program delivery.
• Record all client interactions, sales activities, and opportunities in the CRM system.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to uncover new opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in business development or corporate training sales.
• Strong understanding of corporate training solutions, professional certifications, and L&D services.
• Existing network of corporate clients and decision‑makers is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong business acumen with a track record of converting leads into revenue.
• Self‑motivated, target‑oriented and capable of working independently.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using CRM tools for sales tracking and pipeline management.
