Business Development Manager – Traditional Trade

About the role

The Business Development Manager – Traditional Trade will lead revenue growth for Perfetti Van Melle’s product portfolio in the UAE market. This senior leadership position focuses on developing and executing sales strategies, managing key accounts, and ensuring the brand remains competitive across trade channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to meet short‑ and long‑term company objectives.
• Identify new market opportunities, channels, and categories within the FMCG sector.
• Set ambitious sales targets and monitor performance, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and key retail accounts.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior to drive market‑share growth.
• Oversee end‑to‑end P&L management and ensure budget commitments are met.
• Collaborate with trade marketing, supply chain, finance, and other departments to guarantee product availability, optimal pricing, and effective promotions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of FMCG sales or business development experience, with at least 2 years in a management role.
• Deep knowledge of UAE trade landscape and key retailers.
• Proven experience in key‑account management and trade development (MT & TT).
• Experience managing distributors and P&L ownership is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical decision‑making abilities.
