Business Development / Sales – MICE Events

About the role

The Business Development Manager – MICE Events will drive revenue growth by securing conferences, exhibitions, corporate events, meetings and incentive business for the venue. You will identify new opportunities, develop client relationships and manage the full sales cycle to maximise venue utilisation and commercial returns.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across meetings, conferences, exhibitions, product launches, gala dinners and incentive events.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, government entities, event agencies, PCOs, DMCs and exhibition organisers.
• Generate leads through direct sales, networking, industry events, referrals and market research.
• Manage incoming enquiries, prepare commercial proposals, quotations, presentations and venue packages.
• Conduct venue tours, client meetings and sales presentations, recommending suitable configurations and services.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms and event packages within approved guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, client activity and forecasts in the CRM.
• Track conversion rates, sales performance and revenue contribution, preparing regular reports and forecasts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably within the MICE or events sector.
• Demonstrated ability to build and sustain long‑term corporate accounts.
• Strong negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to manage a sales pipeline from enquiry to contract hand‑over.
• Awareness of UAE MICE market trends, competitor activity and venue pricing.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM systems for tracking leads and opportunities.
