Business Systems Manager – Data Platform Engineering (1‑yr Contract)

About the role

The Business Systems Manager – Data Platform Engineering will support and enhance Retail Business Analytics for Omni‑channel operations. This 1‑year contract role combines functional expertise in retail planning, buying and merchandising with technical knowledge of modern data platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Provide functional and technical support for Business Intelligence tools, focusing on planning, buying and merchandising processes.
• Maintain and enhance core retail applications (SAP) covering master data, pricing, costing, purchase orders, inventory and replenishment.
• Lead requirement analysis, create Business Requirement Documents and design solutions for new projects and enhancements.
• Collaborate with system integrators, review technical proposals, and guide teams through design, build, test and deployment phases.
• Ensure alignment with strategic goals and deliver projects on time and within budget.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting SAP and Business Intelligence applications in a retail environment.
• Strong understanding of retail planning, buying and merchandising functions for Omni‑channel operations.
• Experience with ERP customisations, extensions and third‑party integrations.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills with a focus on root‑cause analysis.
• Demonstrated project management capabilities, including stakeholder communication and delivery oversight.
