Butchery Supervisor - Distribution Center

About the role

As a hands‑on leader you will oversee daily warehouse operations, meat processing and inventory management. You will drive operational excellence, enforce strict food‑safety standards and ensure timely order fulfillment while using commercial acumen to minimise waste and maximise meat yield.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the butchery unit, including hands‑on meat processing, packaging and safe storage while directing the warehouse team.
• Track stock on hand, audit incoming goods, minimise waste and run cost‑benefit analyses to improve unit profitability.
• Coordinate shipping and receiving schedules for temperature‑sensitive goods, optimise warehouse space and maintain all butchery equipment.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of warehouse or distribution‑center experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
• Hands‑on butchery expertise and strong knowledge of food‑safety standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or a related field (preferred).
• Familiarity with WMS and inventory reporting tools.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, data manipulation, reporting).
• Experience using Warehouse Management System (WMS) platforms.
