Buyer – Procurement

About the role

The Buyer will manage day‑to‑day purchasing activities to support the operational, maintenance, project and business needs of Wasael Property Management in Abu Dhabi. Acting as the main liaison between internal stakeholders and suppliers, the role ensures timely acquisition of goods and services while maintaining compliance with company procedures and governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review approved purchase requisitions and create purchase orders in line with delegated authority and company policies.
• Verify procurement documentation, approvals and system requirements before order placement.
• Process high‑volume requisition‑to‑order transactions using the ERP system, maintaining visibility of open purchase orders and commitments.
• Obtain quotations from approved suppliers and coordinate routine, urgent and prototype purchasing requirements.
• Track deliveries, follow up with suppliers, and expedite orders to mitigate supply risks.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and transaction history to support audit readiness.
• Provide regular updates on procurement priorities, supplier commitments and delivery schedules to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing operations, preferably in a property‑management or facilities‑services environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure compliance with internal procedures.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.
• Ability to manage multiple purchase orders and monitor delivery timelines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for purchase order processing.
