Cadet Technician Programme – Full‑time – Abu Dhabi

About the role

The Etihad Cadet Technician Programme is a two‑year, full‑time training pathway designed for UAE nationals who want to start a career in aircraft maintenance. Participants will combine classroom theory with hands‑on on‑the‑job experience to become licensed Aircraft Technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Complete the GCAA‑approved training syllabus and maintain a minimum 75% pass rate on all module exams.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks, log work in the aircraft logbook, and ensure compliance with Etihad and GCAA safety and regulatory procedures.
• Participate in mandatory training sessions and technical competency assessments as required.

Required profile

• UAE national with a valid family book, aged 18‑29.
• High‑school certificate (or equivalent) with at least 60% overall, including Maths, Physics or Science.
• Strong command of English and completion (or exemption) of UAE National Service for males.
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights, and to work outdoors.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of aircraft maintenance principles.
• Familiarity with GCAA regulations and safety procedures.
