Careers Advice & Guidance Manager – Dubai Campus

About the role

The University of Birmingham’s Dubai campus is seeking a senior professional to lead careers advice and guidance for students across all levels of study. Reporting to the Head of Student Experience and Wellbeing, you will shape graduate outcomes and support the university’s employability strategy in the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver and evaluate career development programmes that improve graduate employability.
• Collaborate with Programme Directors, the Careers Network, and the Employer Relations Manager to create action plans for student cohorts.
• Implement the Careers Network Employability Strategy across the Dubai campus.
• Provide expert advice on the graduate labour market, employer expectations, and student career aspirations in the UAE.
• Engage with employers, alumni, academic staff and student groups to create networking and placement opportunities.
• Maintain data‑driven service metrics and contribute to continuous improvement of the careers service.

Required profile

• Proven experience in higher‑education career guidance or graduate recruitment.
• Deep knowledge of the UAE graduate labour market and employer landscape.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to work across academic and employer partners.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
