Cargo Operations Agent - Safety

About the role

Emirates SkyCargo is seeking a Cargo Operations Agent for its Safety team in Dubai. You will oversee the handling and processing of cargo, courier and mail, ensuring compliance with safety, quality and efficiency standards.

Key responsibilities

• Direct a team in cargo handling activities, providing safety briefings and ensuring compliance with IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and EU GDP requirements.
• Inspect, verify and count goods at all stages, update shipment details in Skychain, and liaise with customs, health and police authorities.
• Plan and load cargo into ULDs and bulk, optimise aircraft capacity, and manage deviations from uplift plans.
• Monitor off‑loading/loading operations, report equipment defects, and handle cargo irregularities and discrepancies.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of schooling or equivalent.
• At least 2 years experience in a cargo or warehouse environment with knowledge of aircraft, ramp and terminal handling procedures.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations compliance.
• EU Good Distribution Practice (GDP) for pharmaceutical shipments.
• Aircraft and ramp handling procedures.
• Cargo terminal handling procedures.
• Safety applications and ERP systems (e.g., Coruson).
