Carpenter – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Carpenter to join the facilities team at Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts in Dubai. The role involves responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring the hotel’s interior and exterior woodwork remains in excellent condition.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room assets, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Inspect, repair, and replace wood trim, drywall, paint surfaces, light bulbs, and A/C filters.
• Carry out basic plumbing tasks such as unclogging drains and fixing toilets.
• Execute electrical repairs including lamp replacement, switch and outlet servicing, and TV programming.
• Maintain and repair interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
• Identify and operate shut‑off valves for utilities and equipment, and follow Lockout/Tagout procedures before work.
• Document daily activities and communicate handover information to subsequent shifts.
