About the role
The Cashier will manage all cash handling activities for the automotive showroom, ensuring compliance with the Group's cash handling policy. This role involves processing cash and cheque payments, managing petty cash, and supporting the finance team with accurate record‑keeping.
Key responsibilities
- Receive cash and current or post‑dated cheques from customers, verify amounts and authenticity.
- Maintain electronic and manual filing of banking and cash transaction records.
- Hand over cash and cheques to the central cashier and forward daily cash collection summaries to the finance department.
- Disburse petty cash, reconcile daily balances, and prepare expense summaries for replenishment.
- Process credit‑card payments and forward original slips to finance.
- Forward post‑dated cheques to finance for bank deposit.
Required profile
- Diploma in Accounting; a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum three years of experience in cash operations within a large organization.
- Immediate availability is highly recommended.
