Cashier

About the role

The Cashier at AG Motors is responsible for handling all financial transactions related to vehicle sales, trade‑ins, and service operations. This role ensures accurate record‑keeping, secure cash handling, and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process payments from customers for new and trade‑in cars, as well as service and maintenance work.
• Maintain up‑to‑date financial records of all transactions and daily cash balances.
• Reconcile cash and credit‑card transactions at the end of each day.
• Ensure safe custody of company assets, including vehicle VCCs and gate‑pass releases after account clearance.
• Process purchases and services using petty cash, credit cards, or checks and submit petty‑cash reports for reimbursement.
• Answer customer inquiries about pricing, services, and payment status.
• Support the finance officer in coordinating with banks and insurance companies.
• Resolve customer complaints related to financial transactions and escalate when necessary.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar cashier or finance role.
• Knowledge of financial transactions, cash handling procedures, and basic accounting principles.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (or similar finance software).
• Cash handling procedures and accurate record‑keeping.
