Cast Technician – Orthopedics & Spine Hospital

About the role

The Cast Technician will join the Orthopedics and Spine Hospital team, providing hands‑on casting services for both adult and paediatric patients. This position involves a significant amount of patient contact and collaboration with the clinical team to assess individual casting needs.

Key responsibilities

• Apply and remove casts, including complex casting procedures.
• Work closely with physicians and nurses to determine appropriate casting solutions for each patient.
• Participate in team assessments of patient needs for both adult and paediatric cases.
• Maintain accurate documentation of casting procedures and patient outcomes.
• Engage directly with patients throughout the casting process, providing guidance and support.
• Handle both adult and pediatric casting cases, adapting techniques as needed.

Required profile

• Experience working with adult and paediatric patients in a clinical setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and multidisciplinary team members.
• Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to assess patient needs.
• Demonstrated ability to manage both adult and pediatric casting procedures.
