Category Manager – Fleet Support, Infrastructure & Technology (6‑Month Contract)

About the role

Our client, a leading EPCM consulting firm, is seeking a Category Manager to lead the commercial strategy for fleet‑support consumables, infrastructure services and technology contracts on a 6‑month contract in Dubai, with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain category strategies for tyres, ground‑engaging tools, wear parts, rigging, lifting consumables, site services and operational technology.
• Re‑base and renegotiate global and regional framework agreements to align with fleet composition and production profiles.
• Define scopes of work with end users and technical stakeholders, confirming boundaries with EPCM and third‑party contractors.
• Run end‑to‑end competitive tender processes, including RFQ preparation, clarification, evaluation, negotiation and award recommendation.
• Negotiate framework agreements, call‑off arrangements and rate schedules to reduce transactional load.
• Contract safety‑critical services (fire suppression, lifting, waste management) with explicit compliance, inspection and certification obligations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in category management or procurement within an EPCM or heavy‑industry environment.
• Strong ability to translate high‑volume, unclear requirements into clear contract scopes.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with end users, technical teams and external contractors.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering contracts on time while ensuring safety and compliance.
