Category Manager - Ground Handling

About the role

We are seeking an experienced procurement professional to lead the Ground Handling category for Etihad. The role focuses on delivering best value through price savings, service quality, supply chain reliability and meeting Local Content objectives while adhering to governance and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain category and sub‑category demand plans, aligning with end‑users and tracking contract expiries.
• Design and execute sourcing strategies, applying appropriate procurement channels and financial analysis (TCO) while considering Local Content.
• Lead high‑value and complex sourcing projects, including scope challenge, negotiations and contract award.
• Manage supplier relationships and contract performance for strategic vendors.
• Collaborate daily with the Procurement Operations team to monitor planning and execution of sourcing transactions.
• Ensure accurate contract documentation and system records.

Required profile

• Degree‑level qualification; CIPS or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
• 5‑7 years of relevant experience in category management, procurement or supply chain.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and deliver savings.
